Awwwww pudding! I wonder where you got the idea for this thread? lol

My parents really didnt have any nicknames for me or my brother, but naming us both after "boys parts" probably made up for that!

I mean, who would call there sons "Richard and William"?

Mom never had nicknames for me, but dad called me Tigerlilly. I think it was because he had a hard time remembering my name.

I'm not surprised, I mean Aphexphode is a bit of a mouthful isnt it. What made your parents call you that?

Re: Did your parents have a nickname for you?

My dad has nicknames for me, my brother and sister, but my mother insists on calling us by our real names lol

My dad calls me Monkey Face, my Brother Bonzo, and my sister Apple

Why? Well, when I was 4, my parents took me to a zoo and I had a tantrum because I wanted a monkey mask, and then I refused to take it off for days lol

My brother was called Bonzo after a character in a kids TV show

My sister's name is Charlotte, so he used to call her Apple Charlotte and then just shortened it to Apple.

And twenty years down the line, he still calls us those names lol

I can't say what my Dad used to call me.

Just kidding. Richard -> Ricky and finally just Rick. Sure was glad when they dropped that "Y"!!!

Nope, no nicknames. My folks took great pains to be sure and name us names that could not easily be turned in to nicknames!

That was my best friend (unfortunatley he was killed in a car accident a few years ago) He gave me that knickname because I was a big fan of Butterbean the boxer.

When I was little, my father and my uncle (my father's brother) used to call me "Linda Loop". What's really strange is that one day, my husband (who had no knowledge of this) called me the same thing.

My father and brother have the same first name (Joseph or Joe), but different middle names. My brother's nickname is Jody. My mother kind of thought that up, based on two reasons. In the late 1940's there was a movie called "The Yearling" and the boy's name was Jody. Also, my mother's favorite baseball player is Joe DiMaggio (occasionally referered to as "Joe D") and my maiden name starts with the letter "D".
