    American Idol

    I don't watch the Audition rounds because I think they aren't entertaining.

    Last night was the first of the elimination rounds to the final 24.

    I thought the twins (the set wearing the white suits) were obnoxious. The guy who sang "Bat out of ****" was scary.

    Otherwise, I thought the singers they profiled last night were pretty good.

    i am a great fan of American idol
    last year i had a crush on Bo bice,and when he lost i lost my appetite for a week..lol
    he is now a dad
    i am still keeping info about him
    he was awesome,
    i agree i didnt like those twins,and their beards
    thouigh i liked two girls dont remember their names .and their was a guy wearing blue shirt he was awesome..and the grey haired guy was good too.though he looked simons Dad

      The gray haired guy reminds me of John Michael Montgomery - voice and look. Or maybe Bob Seger too.

        LOL me to ,had a crush on Bo i mean.I am glad for Carrie tho shes awesome,but is a hottie.
        Those twins are rude.Im liking Kelli,Paris and the gal with dark hair whos mother coached her.Cant remember her name and the one guy Ace i think his name is.
        The grey haired guy is good at what he does too.

            Yes, there is a little girl whose mom is a vocal coach. There is also a girl whose dad is a senator and her mom is a local television broadcaster. Interesting!

            I really like the grey hair guy too. He is cool. I heard the twins in white were arrested in their hometowns and they are off the show.

                I am sooooo excited for this year's Idol! I've been disenfranchised the last two seasons because I never really was able to get excited for the people they ended up chosing. They really seem to have a great batch this year!! I love the little cowboy who had never been on an airplane, the blonde girl who's sort of an orphan, the grey haired man, and this sassy brunette (brunettes gotta represent!) who sang towards the end last night. The show is so much fun when you're really invested.

                Also confession time: I have seen Clay Aiken in concert. More than once. And I loved every minute of it!

                      The girl with the vocal coach mom---I hope she isn't the girl with the sore throat.

                      Obnoxious Twins--they were really full of themselves. About as full as that "ladies man" guy.

                          The girl with the senator dad and newscaster mom is local here. But the dad is a state (MA) senator not a US senator, not exactly the same thing. But seeing her mother the newscaster there was kind of a trip. The girl has a full basketball scholarship to Boston College for next year, so at least she has that to fall back on.

                          The guy with the gray hair is good, but he is too much a Joe Cocker clone (who is great BTW) so I don't think he's original enough.

                          I think the 16 year old black girl (the one who said she is the loudest little girl there) is by far the best, at least that jumped out at me.

                            Oh yeah, I like that 16 year old too!

                            The Grey Haired guy might sound too much like Joe Cocker, but if you think about the current music scene, he has a unique voice.

                              Ok he is not the best singer but I sure love the little cowboy's attitude of gratefulness and wonder, big-eyed and happy. I love that in people. No matter how far that little guy goes in the competition, he is going to kick butt in life. I love the underdogs!
