Yes, male gymnists are rather 'nice' examples of human body musculature.

          Bob Sleigh
          Luge
          Ski Jump are my favourites.

but after the winter olympics 4 years ago I had better support curling aswell, as that the only medal we are likely to win (GBR)

                Re: 2006 Winter Olympics

Funny, I'm usually a sports-a-holic... but with the winter olympics, I can pretty much sleep through it. I do like some of the skiing stuff though, especially the downhill! Who (I may be showing my age here) could ever forget the run that Franz Klammer made to win the gold? He was awesome.

Original goal: Lose 30 lbs by Mar. 1st, 2006. I made it!!!

Calling it GOAL at this point. I'm happy with where I am now and hope to stay there, or maybe even take it down a little more.

                        Re: 2006 Winter Olympics

Yes, last night I used our new DVD recorder for the Oympics. It records to HD and then if you want to keep it you can transfer it. It only took me 20 mins to run through 4 hours this morning. (This no doubt says something for my attention span!). I like most of it. I'm afraid the ice hockey leaves me cold. I like the skating, both speed and figure, the ski jump, all the speed and aerial skiing, and the luge and skeleton should be good.

They are starting later and later (9.30 pm tonight), and because we are on the border with Qld, which does NOT have daylight savings, and we can only pick up Qld feed for TV, it is all an hour later! So lots of use of the DVD will be made.
The night before one of our channels had the movie Cool Runnings on so I taped it to DVD, as I've never managed to see it!

I'm not much of a sports person, but the Canadian Women's Hockey Team has just won two games (as far as I am aware of at this point in time) in a major way!
They beat the Italian team...which they were expected to (as the Italians only had a team together for six months..hockey isn't their thing)....they beat them 16 to zip.
They beat the Russian team 12 to zip! The Russians! Holy cow.
                            I hope this continues...but man, that's a great start.
