And its the only sport that we (GBR) have a chance of winning a medal in, in Turin.

        Re: Olympics Question

okay while we are discussing curling why did that team concede tot the US? Had not the US just scored 5 points in the 6th I mean the other team could have done that too in both the next frames and won going away.

            Re: Olympics Question

We have a pretty good chance at a medal at this one too i'd imagine, curling is actually our official national sport (not hockey, though many think it is).

I know quite a few ppl that curl, though i've never done it myself. Though their curling seems to involve alot of beer, don't think the olympic matches do

              Re: Olympics Question

I'm a curling junkie. It's just too fun. I curl between 4 and 10 hours a week! No idea what happened in that game, 2big. I'm at work but I'll see if I can find something out about it online. That is VERY unusual and the only time another team will concede is if it's impossible to win.

                    Re: Olympics Question

it was tied 3-3 and the US scored a 5 ( very hard to do) in the 6th and the captain conceeded to the US with 2 more to go. I was like what????? you can score your own 5 and be right back in it. I thought maybe they were injured or something and couldn't trow any more maybe?

                      Re: Olympics Question

Looks to me like Norway was down 11-5 after the eighth end and just didn't feel they could win in the last two ends so gave it up. I'm actually quite surprised. Although it's not likely they could score six in two ends, it's certainly not impossible. Oh well, good win for the US.
And diva, it's go Shannon Kleibrink go! I think you're referring to Colleen Jones who went to the Olympics last time around.
