Anyone visited? Anyone knows about it? Is it worth it?
I'll be travelling through London and I have just a bit over 5 hours between my flights so I'm thinking of "doing" something. Never been to London and don't know what to do there tho So I'm thinking of The Eye. Are there long queues? I have to travel fron Gatwick to Victoria, then to the Eye, have a tour there and get back to Gatwick, could it be done in my time limits? Any other suggestions what to do in London instead? I just can't see myself sitting in the airport for 5 hours...

    Thanks

Even though I love in England, I have never actually been. Sorry I can shed any light on it for you.

          Right

no saint is famous in his own country or what's the saying?

Then, maybe you can tell me a nice cheap and atkisfriendly place to eat or buy food? And I thought to try some lowcarb frankenfoods as well, are tehy easy to find? None of them available here, so it's my chance to be bad .

Look out for a "harvester" chain of restaurants. They are cheap, as are "Witherspoons" also.

A visit to the Tower of London.
Visit the west end to see a show (but you wont have the time for that)

                      Re: The London Eye

The london eye and london dungeon seem to the the most expensive tourist traps in the capital. I mean the Eye is a nice view and all but will cost you a pretty penny. If your looking for a view head over to the top floor of the Tate Modern Gallery (its free)

ooohh ooohh. I went to London last spring and we are leaving again in 3 weeks 2 days and 11 hours.--- Yeah I loved it. I would agree with Richt and choose a Thames river cruise. It will def be the most bang for you buck. We did not do the eye last year, but it is on the must do this year.-There will be lines (ques?) and pricey. Have a blast!!

although too late, I've been on the eye!!!!
it was only good though because it was a special valentines 'flight'- i got choccy(this was ages ago so I wolfed it down), a rose and some champagne and we pretty much had the pod to ourselves apart from the champagne server guy.
