Does anyone have any superstitions or habits that they do that probably make no sense but you feel they're beneficial anyway?

One of mine is that I'll lay in bed and massage, chop at, or sort of hit some of my problem areas thinking that I'm "breaking up" the fat to try to get it to flush out faster. I'm pretty sure I'm just bruising myself, but my brain seems to think it works.

Funny you said that...my mom used to hit her hips against the wall. She said that she did that while she worked and she noticed that her hips went down. I never tried it to see if it worked, but it may be restoring blood flow or circulation to that area that made it beneficial? (Sorta like the skin brushing that some people do that they say works and gets rid of cellulite.)

I've been doing Atkins for about two and a half years and lost 30lbs and felt OK. The weight loss leveled out and the last year was difficult.

However, for the last three months I've switched to F2 - I've lost another 10lbs but the main thing is that I FEEL 100 TIMES BETTER THAN WHEN I WAS ON ATKINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My Blood pressure was OK on Atkins, but has reduced. My Resting heart rate has also reduced. I feel fantastic now whereas before I just felt OK.

I'm eating healthy food now, losing weight again, and feeling better!

Goodbye Atkins! I've wasted enough time on this - F2 is the way forward now!!!!!

I heard that people use rolling pins to roll on their "problem" areas to break up the fat cells and make them flush, so I guess your belief has some sort of foundation (or source).

          BTW - what is F2?

Sorry to hear you had difficulties with Atkins. Were you following the plan to the letter? Did you read the book? I've had no problems with Atkins, and I'm eating whole, healthy foods.

Best of luck on your diet.

killer-- I always weigh in the morning. Really, it's fine to weigh at night, because the weight doesn't fluctuate from week to week with any differentiation, but I just prefer the lower numbers. *lol*

Here's a "superstition" that I've never heard before until just now. I don't know if there is any validity to it, or if it's just another Urban Myth.

If you don't eat when you're hungry, the next time you eat, your body will store/convert it to fat.
