    Re: Movies Please

I wish Walk the Line had been nominated for best picture--it was my favorite movie.

I also loved crash and brokeback.

Just bought Goodnight and Goodluck--have yet to watch it though.

I normally just buy the movies instead of renting them--it's weird I know but I normally research to make sure the movie is good--I haven't made any huge mistakes with it.

Everyone should see Jarhead, it's a great movie.

Here is the ultimate list: the Online Film Critics Society's top 100 underrated movies of the 1990s. I've looked thru them and wished I had Netflix. Get your watch on! http://ofcs.rottentomatoes.com/pages/pr/1990overlooked

          Re: Movies Please

I recently saw In Her Shoes and it was surprisingly good. Also, Mad Hot Ballroom was awesome, all about these 4th and 5th graders learning how to ballroom dance and going to competition. Mail Order Bride is a fake documentary that is hysterical and horrible at the same time (if it were true it would be unbelievably terrible, but because it isn't, it's funny).

          My fav movies are:
Something's Gotta Give, How to Make an American Quilt, What Women Want, High Fidelity, Love Actually (anything with Colin Firth in it ), When Harry Met Sally, and Sleepless in Seattle, to name a few.

For tv shows, u should see: sex and the city, lost, desperate housewives, law and order, and opera's 20th anniversary special (def a tear jerker and 6 dvds!)

          Hope this helps!
          Rosie

            Re: Movies Please

Here's one that not many people have seen but it's one of my favorites, "Let It Ride". It's about a loser gambler who has one magical day. It has Richard Dreyfus, Teri Garr, David Johansen, and a great small role by Robbie Coltrane. It's got lots of subtle humor but I can watch it over and over.
