Somebody sent me that link last night on another forum. It's really interesting! I take all documentaries with a pinch of salt because it's only one sides opinion, but that certainly made me think about things twice.
Starmaker, I watched nearly all of it and yes, I have questioned many things in our administration regarding 911 and even the bombing of the USS Cole. Just in the same manner there are discrepancies with the JFK murder and the magic bullet. Yes it does boggle the mind. patty

I've seen a lot of footage of the Pentagon hit and there really is no way that the small hole was amde by a huge aircraft made of steel and titanium that then mysteriously evaporated, leaving no trace of the aircraft or bodies.
Also, all surveillance camera footage being removed by agents and never shown to the public?
Just show us the footage of the plane hitting the building and all conspiracies theories evaporate there and then!
But they haven't.
You know what the truly scary and outrageous thing is?
We watch this and are shocked. We know about all the stuff that doesn't add up.
But, 30 seconds after watching it, we've switched on the tv, played with the dog, are making dinner, etc., etc...
Keep in mind that I have nothing against conspiracy-theories per se. They will always be there, since conspiracy-theorists usually do not have the power to subpoena their suspects. The only thing that I think is important, is that these theories are not based on any false assumptions, or on the selective gathering of evidence. The problem is that this is exactly what has been done with the Pentagon crash. And not just a little, it has been taken to the extreme.
I forgot who said, "Always be a skeptic, so you will not be a cynic." It's a good thing to question everything to arrive at the truth.
skeptic - One who instinctively or habitually doubts, questions, or disagrees with assertions or generally accepted conclusions.
cynic - A person who believes all people are motivated by selfishness. A person whose outlook is scornfully and often habitually negative.
Simply put, the purpose of a skeptic is to question, the purpose of a cynic is to negate.
A true skeptic will not only question government and it's motives, but will also question conspiracy theorists as well. The main goal of conspiracy theorists is not to arrive at the truth, but to push their belief that government should not be trusted.
My biggest beef with conspiracy theorists is their penchant for arguing by ignorance.
The argument from ignorance, also known as argumentum ad ignorantiam or argument by lack of imagination, is a logical fallacy in which it is claimed that that a premise is true only because it has not been proven false, or that a premise is false only because it has not been proven true.
The argument from personal incredulity, also known as argument from personal belief or argument from personal conviction, refers to an assertion that because one personally finds a premise unlikely or unbelieveable, the premise can be assumed not to be true, or alternately that another preferred but unproven premise is true instead.
Basically, it goes like this...
I don't understand how something is possible, and the fact that you can't explain it either means I'm right.
or...
Can you explain how a large airliner can fit into such a small hole? Since you can't then it must be impossible.
Let's however change the subject...
I can't explain how David Copperfield can walk through the Great Wall of China or make the Statue of Liberty disappear. Can you? Therefore it proves that Daid Copperfield is using real magic.
Yeah, same with Michael Moore's movie. Makes ya think. And I think that is a good thing.
More accurately, you've been maneuvered into thinking the way they want you to think.
The problem is, the majority of the intended audience isn't equipped to properly question the conspiracy theorists' arguments. I'm not saying the audience is stupid. What I'm saying is that most of the audience don't have the specific knowledge to question the video's assertions.
For example, to properly address the No-757 assertion, you need some knowledge of physics, engineering, and access to footage and pictures of the event. Very few who watch the video have those credentials.
While the producers of the video want you to think, they don't think you'd take the time to verify.
But that's what the Internet is for. Thanks to the Internet, we can verify facts and consult authorities on the subject matter with just a click of the mouse button. Check all the facts you can lay your hands on and decide for yourself.
I''m not saying you should trust government. I'm not saying that conspircy theorists a wrong either. What I'm saying, to paraphrase The X-Files, is "Trust No One, not even conspiracy theorists."
