Too Old for Body Piercing?

So what do you think? When you reach a certain age (whatever that is), are you too old for body piercing? I'm thinking specifically of a navel piercing here ...

I think its down to the individual, and voted for no age is too old.

I don't think age matters either. And, as soon as my tummy looks like yours and Heidi's I'm having mine done, no matter how old I am.

Thanks, Rich! I am seriously considering the navel piercing with a nice gemstone of some sort! My daughter who is 21 is like ...MOM!!! But hey, I work hard for these flat abs .. can I help it if I'm 50?

I had some fun a few weeks ago with my General and his wife. I think she raised the subject of peircings saying that their daughters has been giving Dad a hard time about it.

I asked how long it would be before we saw Senior male British Officers with earings. (It is presently forbidden for male members of HM Forces.) He thought it would be a while yet. I asked whether Dress Regulations would permit one or two earings; and if one, should it be worn on the same or the opposite side to the sword.

His daughter thought a young Officer in full dress uniform with a single earing on the opposite side to his sword would be quite dashing!

Hoots of laughter all round!

My daughter had her ears pierced when she chose at about five years old - that is quite old for a Greek family in which culture you often see baby girls with earings.

As for men, well, it's a generational thing and not for me. If I see a man with earings I can't help wondering where else . . .

Betty my husband is 68 years old and broke his hip falling off a Pogo stick. Many people told him he was too old to pogo. I say you are too old when that is your excuse not to do something.
If you tummy is flat and you want it pierced go for it girl

LOL, I don't know if that is an argument for or an argument against the too old thing. He did fall off and broke his hip afterall!

A person is never too old to try something new!

And as for whether it looks good or not, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I think it's more important how it makes the piercee feel...rather than how it makes observers feel.
I plan on getting my belly button done at some point. My belly is not pretty after this weight loss, and its doubtful it'll get any much prettier, so the piercing is for me and me alone.

Well coming from someone who has a couple of things pierced already I think that no matter what age you are if it makes you feel good about yourself or makes you think you look good then go for it. I to can't wait to have a nice tummy and as soon as I do, I'm getting it pierced too. My only problem with piercings is when someone wonders why they didn't get the job working with the public and has a face full of metal. uh DUH!!!! It's not socially accecpted by everyone and people need to realize that. Mine can be removed or covered
