Anyone In Georgia?!?! I Might Be Relocating....need Some Advice!

Hi!

Well my fiance has an opportunity to relocate to Georgia with the company that he's with. We've been looking online for some places to rent, until we get settled and then start looking for houses when we get to know the area a little better. His job is in Atlanta, i've searched all the surrounding cities for townhomes and things like that. Just curious if anyone from that area can give me an idea of what neighborhoods to avoid? We're wanting something more family oriented and low-key...possibly country living more than city. Just somewhere thats not in the middle of all the hustle and bustle.

As I look at all these places online, they all seem really great but I just dont want to end up in the ghetto or something! lol
We're just maping out some areas and getting an idea of where to look then we are gonna take a trip down there before any final decisions of course.....can someone point me in the right direction!??!?!?!?!?!? Thanks!!!

Atlanta's traffic is horrendous ... if his job is in Atlanta and you want to live on the outskirts, plan on a very long commute!

There are some nice areas on the outskirts but you would probably want to look at what area his job is located and go from there - my sister lives there and I go to Atlanta to visit and such often - traffic is always a pain....

She lives in Alpharetta which is a nice area north of the city - there are many other little area around the city that are good for families...... the main bad areas I have seen there have been more in the heart of the city itself...

I have a bunch of family in Acworth. It's not right next to Atlanta, but if it's more family oriented and less urban you want, than that's a great place.
