    Head Shave

    I am having my head completely shaved in 10 days time!

    A friend of mine has been diagnosed as having breast cancer! She was 7 months pregnant at the time so it got a bit risky.

    She was induced and has given birth to a very health baby girl. And now my friend has started her chemotherapy treatment.

    Obviously she is losing her hair. 15 of us are doing a sponsored head shave in aid of Breast cancer.

    I will post pics of me with no hair as and when its been done.

    It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!




    I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

    So good of you to show your friend support. I'm sure it will be hard, having support will make all the difference in the world!

      What a good cause, That is awesome Rich. Best of luck to your friend and congrats to her on the new baby, which I'm sure will help her fight this and win all the more.

          That is so awesome. I think your great. I lost my mother-in-law(really like a mother) this past June to colon cancer. With friends like you she should get through. Hope everything turns out well!!

            I think that's great. I'd definitely do it if a friend was losing hair from Chemo.

              Your friend is fortunate to have a fantastic friend like you! All my best wishes to her in recovering.

              My father has skin cancer-so far tumors have been removed early-on and he goes in for checkups every few months. My mother has had 2 benign tumors removed (still confirming the 2nd is benign). Won't that be a wonderful day when they finally find a cure?

                Good for you Rich! A couple of guys from work did that a few years ago. We thought it was very admirable of them. And you too. What a good friend you are.

                  Congratulations on your support of a great cause! Your friend is very lucky to have such supportive friends. I hope having such a strong support group helps her through her treatments.

                          The head shave is now being done on the 30th April. The final night of my singing show. Having it done actually on stage at the end (when the punters have gone)

                              Good on YOU!!!!

                              I shaved my head back in 1993 when i was thirteen when a friend of mine was fighting leukemia, about 7 girls in the same class at school did it one lunch hour, the headteacher and my parents were mortified! until we explained why!!

                              we raised quite a bit of money for his chosen charity!
