  • Snow in North East England

Just been on the phone to my mother in York - 250 miles north of Rich and I. She had been on the phone to her sister (my aunt) in Newcastle, 80 miles further north. The said lady went shopping in Newcatle upon Tyne today, and it snowed!

It snowed here out of nowhere earlier this week. It was sunny, then all of a sudden wind, snow and hail for 30 minutes.

And it snowed last week in Hobart (Tasmania) on Monday and at the weekend in the Victorian and NSW ski fields. I wonder how long it is since it has been snowing both in Britain and Australia on the same days (or weeks, anyway)
