Anyone read the book? I was travelling last week and had finished my books by the time of my return trip so I spent an arm and leg at the airport and picked up "Fat Girl".

Was just wondering if anyone else had given it a look and what their opinions were.

Personally, I could relate to a fair amount in it which is scarey. The author mentioned that she always saw herself as fat, even when skinny. And how she found comfort in foods. I also related in that she didnt eat packages of ho-hos and other evils. My only issue... I wanted more. Its a very quick read, justunder 200 pages and I wanted MORE MORE MORE.

I can relate to that too. I started Atkins at 242 pounds and a size 26. I don't follow my poundage anymore (because I found it too frustrating to see the scale go up and down, while I lost inches!) But I'm a size 12 now. So I 'know' I've lost weight. When I look in the mirror, I sometimes see myself at 242 pounds in a size 26 dress. And I still need to do the occasional reality check to well, get real.

Also, I'm a starchy carb addict. My carbs of choice are rice/pasta/potatoes. An extra serving (or two or three) was more satisfying to me than a piece of cake or candy.
