Yes! Been having trouble. I get in then lose it, refresh, then lose again. Gonna be a bummer. But at least we know we can get play back this evening. (I hope!)

Yea, that's true! there is always play back. I did finally get in but it keeps freezing. there is another trick you can try that works sometimes, go in thru the hancock icon on the top right side of the page, I've gotten it load from there when the main page won't load!

Hey, she just left and came back, so I got to see both eggs, looks like there's no action yet!

Thanks for the Tip! I am just hoping my daughters class will catch it. The teacher hooked the computer up to a big tv so they could keep up with it.
So cool, her school's mascot is the Eagle!

That's very cool! I figured out the other day how to enlarge it to a full screen picture, John loves that, he watches it every evening after work! He is an even bigger nature freak than I am so he's really getting into it!

There is another eaglecam here http://thecouriermail.com.au/extras/...am/default.htmIt is for Frodo the peregrine falcon who nests on a building in Brisbane, the state of Queensland's capital city. It is idle at the moment because they have not returned to set up 'house' yet this year, but there are videos of last season there.

Thanks analog, I think that's the one I saw last year!

Hey, does anyone know the status of the egg hatching? We got online for a little while last nite but couldn't see any eggs or babies. I haven't had a chance to check yet today.

Just in case anyone was interested. Neither egg hatched, the babies didn't make it.

I heard that on the news. How sad. They said the parents were bewildered and screaming. As any parent would be, I suppose. But how can you tell when an eagle looks bewildered? Poor little things.

Re: First Eagle Egg Due to Hatch Today!

I was just reading an update on the website from a couple of days ago, they list a few possible reasons why they didn't hatch including that the birds could possibly be up to 50 yrs old!!! there has been a nest there at least that long.

However I also read something just horrible that's a possible reason:

Alternatively, it is possible with very old birds that they have accumulated so many pesticides and heavy metals that their reproductive track is no longer able to function properly. This is not at all out of the question. I am told that orcas (killer whales) that now periodically die along the British Columbia and Washington coasts are so polluted and their bodies so loaded with poisons that it is illegal to tow their bodies out to sea or have them hauled to land fills. They carcasses have to be burned. A very sad statement on our polluted earth. Are these eagles, who also occupy the top of the food chain and eat the same basic foods as orcas, also contaminated. Very possibly. Maybe the reproductive success is going to be restricted to younger eagles that have not had so long to accumulated the poisons.
                              That made me very sad.
