I'm busy for a few days and this board gets crazy out of control --- LOVE IT!!
I've been too busy laughing my booty off and catching back up on this thread to even think about carbs -- thanks Rooster for always adding that "little" something else. I'm glad to hear that everyone else and their kitties are doing well -- I look forward to hearing more as the week goes on. You guys always keep me smiling!!
Is anyone up for a good excercise challenge ?? I am in my sister in laws wedding on July 22nd, and want to try to step it up before then. I am not the best at motivating myself, just others - and could use a good challenge partner. Honestly though, my biggest motivation right now, is trying to lose weight so that I can start seeing a fertility specialist at the end of the summer -- I don't want all of this chub to stand in my way of having a healthy pregnancy.
Libbey! Have you tried any of the exercise challenges? I'm currently on the Abs and Push-Up (Stability Ball) challenges. I highly recommend them - they kick my butt!. Also, there is a treadmill challenge - you can use a treadmill or just walk using a pedometer. I think I will do that challenge next month. Also, I'm doing the stair challenge. I just finished walking to the top of the Millennium Dome in London!! If you need any support, let me know! I would be very happy to help you out.
How is everyone this morning? Already, the boss man is flogging me with inconsequential drivel. Grrrrrr.
I made cheesecake squares last night - pretty tasty - a bit eggy, but not a bad little treat.
All is well is my world. Kenji (le cat) did not throw up at all yesterday! Yippee! However, his insulin usage is going up -- sigh. Well, I will love him the best I can for as long as he's with me - my little house panther.
I walked a total of 4.84 miles yesterday! About 3.5 of that is purposeful walking and the extra mile is incidental movement (walking around at work, at home, etc.).
Hmm flogging sounds fun. Lucky boss!
Well I went to the gym this morning and got there late and rode the bike which was very uneventful except for the sweat. Then I went to tan and that was uneventful as well except I was naked for over half the time and the sweat haha. Then I came to work and there was 2 dozen steaming hot krispy kremes. "Have some" they said. I laughed, please I want to be healthy I thought but dang they smelled good. Those donuts are the poster children for carbohydrates. Then when I saw the lethargy set in afterwards I was glad I stayed the course. Dang they smelled good...
There's a Krispy Kreme story about 3 blocks away, across the street from the grocery store. It's evil, very very evil, the smells that come out of these. However, I find that if I take a deep deep breath and enjoy the smell, I feel as if I have eaten one - without all those pesky carbs and calories! I do the same thing at the store when I walk past the bakery section, which is at the flippin' front of the store - just breath the smell in and move on to the vegetables!
Sweat is good I agree, because without it how can 2 bodies make the suction cup sound? I talked to my "tanning consultant" and she said that some people dont even wipe up their sweat river after they tan. I mean I have never left the bed wet, well atleast that bed anyway. Makes me wonder how well do they disinfect the beds and pillows and glasses, scary really.
