Ear Staple

My Hubby got his ears stapled this last Sat. I have been working So Hard to do this weight loss / new way of eating. If he does something as easy as that & has more success with it... I will scream. Has anyone even ever heard of that before --- the ear staple????

Had to rant. I feel better now.

Yeah, I did on some other dieting blogs. I personally think the only success people see are placebo effects or the stapling is just an idea of how committed they are. The original acupuncture thought may have had a real role, but the current practice of stapling at places like county fairs or massage parlors certainly has missed the mark. In the long run, the person who changes their eating methods will be the long run success.

Have heard of ear stapling but don't know of anyone personally that had it done. Do let us know how that works out.

PLEASE be careful! They just shut down all of the ear stapling shops in Mississippi. ALL of them. Too many people are coming up sick with staph infections so severe that it could kill you. One woman they featured on the news had the staple put in her ear and wound up in the hospital with what she thought was just an ear infection. I would urge you to be extremely cautious about this. The doctors they interviewed on TV said that it's a form of acupuncture and that these shops doing the stapling are not licensed to give acupuncture. The cartilage in your ear is too close to your brain, so an infection can be even more serious than just having your ears pierced. When you pierce your ears, the studs are usually made of silver, which acts as an antibiotic in your body...staples do not. Please read the following links:

That is awfull! I am not even sure who did his... I only see him 1-2 days a week. But that is a scary thought.

Hmmm, well I have 13 piercings in my ears and so far it hasn't done a thing for my weight! Come on, if it was as easy as that, there would be no overweight people on the planet!
