    Teacher Has Kids Write About Whom They'd Murder

    ST. JOSEPH, Mo. -- A Missouri high school teacher has apologized for asking students to write about whom they would kill and how they would do it.

    He said it was a horrible mistake he regrets.

    Michael Maxwell said the request to describe how students would carry out a murder was merely a writing exercise. Maxwell teaches a beginning drafting class and it's not clear why he asked the class to write fiction.

          If the teacher taught creative writing -maybe and thats a mega huge maybe - he could get away with the assignment. But this guy teaches drafting, last time I looked that had nothing to do with the assignment he gave out. If this was my childs teacher, I'd want his a s s canned.

            Right? I was thinking pretty much along the same lines as you LH! Geez, what was his point? Is he thinking of offing someone and he's looking for ideas on how best to do it? Something just ain't right about this situation. Too weird!

              Anyone know who he is? I'm from Missouri, and I'd sure like to know my kid's drafting teacher didn't give the assignment!
              June Goals
              1. Continue with water
              2. Use bike more (3x per week would be nice).
              3. Continue with videos.
              4. Go to the YMCA for water classes.
              5. Build stamina for more walking.


              Goals for May:
              1. Water every day - at least 100 oz.
              2. Walk through Wal Mart instead of ride.
              3. Post every day.
              4. Get the exercise bike out of basement and use it!
              5. Re-read DANDR! It's been too long.

                The article says his name is Michael Maxwell and the school is in St. Joseph, MO.
