        Can I play?

People who park in front of the grocery store or quick mart, because they're "only gonna be a minute". I use a real parking space, why can't they?

Oh, and this really bothers me. Let me preface this by saying, I run an in-home daycare. Parents who pick up their children whom I spend the entire day potty training and they put a diaper on them (in front of me) because they're going to the store and don't want them to have an accident. I could scream!

ok since no one put a limit on peeves I have another one that goes in this direct...how about HANDWASHING!!!! Did anyone say that? I looked but did not see it....

.... grimey hands and dirt under fingernails!!!!! BARF!!!

it is one thing to go work in the yard or on a car or whatever and get all dirty but it is another when two weeks go by and people still have that shiiiit under their nails!!! what is that about???? old grime on hands is just nauseating !!!

it is not that hard to wash them !!! just put them under the warm water use soap and sing happy birthday in your brain while you are scrubbing!!!

yes I am a nurse and thank goodness I am obesessed with clean hands because the way bacteria and viruses spread with dirty hands is mindblowing to say the least!!!

....for machanics there is no excuse to have black grimy hands ..now there are all kinds of things great soaps you can buy to get deep grime off

....my son has a friend who comes to my house a lot and I love this kid but his hygeine is a HUGE issue .....when he eats over I find myself saying to a bunch of young adults who should not have to be told... "ok guys time to wash your hands so we can eat ..... then I make sure there is a nail brush and some heavy duty cleanser at the sink my son is such a sweetie ...he will scrub then hand the soap and the nail brush to his friend to make sure he uses them ....I seriously think this is the ONLY time he ever washes his hands the grime is 100 years old under his nails YUKKKKKKKKKK and he has a girlfriend he touches!!!!! blech!!!!!

Ok I have one more then I will really stop ..this thread awesome thank you!!!

one of my all time biggest pet peeves ...

I was a pediatric RN for 13 years and there were two pet peeves that put me over the edge

            1. when parents put diet soda in a baby bottle ...then took the time to shake it and release the fizz so "the baby would not get gas"...WTF is wrong with this picture???? first of all you are giving your baby diet soda???????? why care about gas bubbles when you are giving them diet soda in a baby bottle???????

            2. my nursing visits with parents of toddlers with chronic constipation (I did a lot of these)....they always started with a parent whining to me "but they won't eat any fruits or veggies" ...and while I am talking to then about ways to resolve the problem is the kid consumes a bag of cheetoes, some cookies and a can of soda ....hmmmmmmmm?????????

people who assume they know what Alzheimer does cause they watched a movie or TV show and a charactor had it.

People who make an appointment for 3 and show up on time or even call to say they will be late and then expect you to drop everything and be ready when they call and say I'm ready.

                  Daycare Provider again here ...

When parents drop off their children KNOWING full well they're sick.

You name it, fevers over 100 degrees, vomiting, diarrhea and pink eye. I've seen it all.

When I call them and ask them to pick them up... they can never get off work. (Meanwhile, the sick child wants nothing more than his/her parent!)

Then after me taking care of their sick child and they finally pick them up after work (without coming early) they say they'll take good care of them.

Cut to the next morning... They drop off and say, the child wasn't sick all night. Not a smidge of temperature! Couldn't be healthier.

Needless to say, I go through it all over again.

Some people just should not be allowed to have the privilege of having children without the benefits of a battery of intelligence tests!

OH HEIDI, YOU ARE MY HERO!!!
I've got a relative that does that with each of her children and they all have a serious weight problem. Get this, they think that I am sooooooo strict and tough for 'making' my kids eat their veggies. She's got 2 teenegers that won't even eat fruit, never mind veggies. All because they "wouldn't eat it" when they were babies! Sheesh!
