Re: Doll War
Thanks for the pictures meena! I love Amman though I dunno just looks like an ancient city. Those amplitheatre ruins are gorgeous, it was eerie though a bit while there thinking about all the humans and animals that died from the fightings that would have gone on.
LOL @ "Yella Yella" They say that soooooo much here too !!!! I've picked up quite a bit of Arabic phrases. You will often hear me saying "KHALAS" to the kids for instance when I've had enough LOL Have you learned much Arabic at all? Are you of Arab descent, because you look like you could be in your pic!
The problem in this country is taht everyone here speaks English, so its a bit more difficult to learn Arabic. When I was in Jordan and moreso while we were in Syria, (Syria hardly anyone speaks much English!!), it was great because I know that if I were alone I would be forced to learn Arabic very quickly. But of course hubby always spoke to the taxi drivers for instance, etc
Oh I know what you mean about the carseats and seat belts! That also drives me nuts. Its the same here too. Here you see cars full of poeple and kids who are just standing up, and just pisses me off seeing them with no car seats or strapped in their seatbelts. My two boys are safely strapped in their seatbelts KHALAS! LOOOL
I will post the link that I had to our pictures on the trip. Did you go to Madaba and Mount Nebo (WHere Moses is said to be buried)? That is absolutely beautiful. From there you can see Palestine! And if you take the road from Madaba down along the canyon side to a small place called "Ma'in" there are hot springs there, but the view while you are driving there is so beautiful and peaceful. Of course the Dead Sea is in the view as well which looks so beautiful too. Ahh so much to say!
I thinki Alitalia for us coming all the way from Vancouver, Canada to Dubai was around $1200 Canadian which would have been around $1100 USD or something. I'm sure if you check Alitalia you will find it cheaper.
