I am usually pretty creative when it comes to gift giving. But FATHERS DAY?? For MY father?? I am in need of suggestions. I am curious. What are you all doing for your Father's this year??

LOL, me too, that would be the one pet in the world that my dad would probably actually like! Its weird enough to get him lots of attention while he's driving around in his 1967 Cadillac Convertable.

Ohhh. I just had a thought! They still only have a VCR. I could really piss him off and send them a DVD player! LOLOL. They HATE when I force new technology on them. Usually they end up thanking me later. It's all part of our relationship!
LOLOL. I sent them a cordless telephone after he had bypass surgery. So he wouldn't have to keep getting up to answer the phone. Because, of course, they dont' have an answering machine, and can't let a phone just ring! My sister said he kept getting up to HANG up the cordless LOL.
Then, one time I sent them a small CD player for their home. They love their music, and had a CD player in their car, only place they listened to their tunes. OMG did I catch **** for that! Then about a month later, I was hearing how they enjoyed it.
Hmmmm. I'll have to get my sister involved in this. Somebody is going to have to hook it up for them!!
LOLOL. Oh, I am gonna be in trouble again!! hehehehehe

I love it! You solved your own problem! My dad is way more technolgically advanced that I am so that won't work for me. Food is always a good one with my dad though. Imported sausages and cheeses or something like that. Hmmm

fathers day is tough so I am giving my dad a week of me taking care of him in July wish me luck ...and Barb you need to come down so we can raid the booze cabinet together!!!

I sent them some huge chocolate covered strawberries one year for something. They were VERY impressed!
OR How about a Lobstergram? OK, getting pricey. I don't know what your budget it. I tend to overcompensate for my parents with gifts.

Yea, my budget is pretty small! Unfortunatley. Harry and David's does send out nice stuff though! The place I used to work sent their stuff to clients at holiday time, I'll have to see what they've got, thanks Barb!

Myself, my sister, my boyfriend, and his sister take our dads out to a fantastic (and expensive) family style Italian restaurant in Manhattan, hit a comedy show, get pretty drunk and let them smoke cigars. We do it every year for them, our tradition. There aren't any moms, so we like to spoil the dads.

Ha! Great! So I tell the brother and sister what I am doing and now they are saved! They are getting them DVDs LOLOL. Brats.
