As I said, the default is best - use Italic and Bold by all means but leave the rest alone. If you choose a font you force your reader to use it rather than the font they find most comfortable.

What looks nice to you might not look nice to them. What is perfectly legible on your screen might be useless on theirs.

Just leave it alone, then each reader sees your text displayed as they have chosen for best legiblity on their system and for their eyes.

    he said, 'Don't count calories.'

I'm not sure if I would die. But it would be a shock.

Its not the font itself that looks like shouting, its the huge size of it! All caps or all huge type is considered shouting in most online conversation/chats/bulletin boards/emails, etc. its a netiquette thing--you know, etiquette for the internet. Just like teeny tiny type is representative of whispering.

Oh MoG I didn't know I was shouting, I made the print bigger because I thought the print I was using was too small for you to read. I was trying to help
Wow I learned something new today about typing on the net - thanks MoG!

Winter here, we've just had the shortest day and it is cold, wet and windy! Last 30 June we had floods and it looks like they are lining up to visit us again this end of JUne!

I was messing with you sweetie. But it truly is considered shouting...I knew you weren't though!

Actually if I had a choice between the teeny tiny type and the bigger one, I'd take the bigger one cause I'm getting old and my eyes can't decipher the tiny stuff anymore! You know I couldn't believe it when I first started having trouble reading small print, I've always has 20/20 vision. It came on so sudden it shocked me! Now I have reading glasses stashed all over the place! Sad.

You know Analog, right now winter sounds nice! It so friggin hot and humid here its hard to breath!

                    MoG

Me too! One day I could read the tiny tiny tiny print on everything without problem and the next someone went around and erased it all because its not there anymore. They even changed the print in the phone books, it seems so small now!
I was carrying my sons magnifying (sp) glass in my purse for a while - I finally broke down and bought some reading glasses!
