    Re: Silly pet stuff

My old black lab, Amy, was the sweetest girl. she was huge for a lab (90lb female, not fat) and incredibly protective when it came to me. Her Spot was between the kitchen and dining room as she could see everything. I was a teenager and getting ready for a date. Was talking to my mom in our laundry room and she threatened to throw water on me, playing. I yelped like a teenage girl and went running from the laundry room, through the kitchen, jumped over the dog and into the rest of the house. Next thing I know my mom is saying my first AND middle name and telling me to get my blessed dog. Bless her heart she was older then the hills and was goign to protect me. She was growling at my mom with all her might and not letting her follow me. (first and only time that happened too).

Growing up in northern ohio, we had snow inthe winters. I personally love snow like nothing else and loved to play in it (and still do!). The dog used to play with me. Id throw a snowball at her and she would retaliate by sticking her face in the snow and then flipping snow at me. goofy dog!

Ayyyye sheesh, try having 3 female dogs and they hump each other. Chacha humps Chili who is try to hump Tess the German Shepherd. Tess never humps along with them. Sometimes Chili makes the mistake and humps Tess' head and she (Tess) gives me this look as if saying, "Do something about this, won't you!!"
Lord, my dream is to lose this weight and to be healthier.

It's funny you should say that! I'd almost forgotten, but George used to sigh when he was bored - I'd be lying on the couch, he'd be lying next to me, and he'd just sigh. If I didnt respond, he'd do it again, louder, and he'd keep doing it until he got my attention.

He NEVER barked unless he was protecting me! I didnt hear him bark until years after we had him! He's talk to us, make these little grunting noises.

I have thousands of pictures of him which I've taken over the years, but I dont have any videos at all. That makes me so sad, because I'd love to see him again.

My black cat, Kenji, wakes me up in the morning by meowing "mah" at me. I swear he's saying "ma" - because his usual meow is more "mao" (like Chairman Mao). He never "mahs" at any other time of the day - just the morning. To me, it's the sweetest thing ever!

Rocky McGurkle, my girl, has a post-dinner ritual of circling the coffee table and rubbing her face on every corner. Then she goes to one particular spot on the floor and lies there for 15 minutes.

Pets - they are so endearing!

A friend of mine used to have a little poodle who would stand on her front legs, back ones as straight up in the air as she could get them, and pee. It was the funniest thing to watch!
