Re: Speaking of dogs ...the 4th

Well, at least for now, the firework period should be over (I hope). But we're still having alot of scattered thunderstorms forecasted for the foreseeable future (if last summer is any indication, we'll probably have alot more). The prescription we have has ten tablets with one renewal. Plus the Vetinary Hospital that we use (it's the one used by the previous owner and they have all her records and they're very good) is about 25-30 miles north of where we live. However, my husband works about 10-15 miles north of that, so he can stop on the way home from work.

I'm a contributor to the problem with pets and fireworks. I have found though, with my girls that i have exposed them to the fireworks very early in their life. I know that does not deadden the sound of the explosions, but my girls did whine, but did not get hyper and nervous with it. I had all three of them on their leads on the front portch. I don't like leaving them in the back yard when we all come to the front yard to light up our torches. They see me and calm down. I have not given any doggy downers to these dogs although my old border collie, pepper needed them.
Lord, my dream is to lose this weight and to be healthier.
