I'd like to share this funny story that happened to my sister.
Her 6 year old daughter has "selective" hearing and sis was asking her to put the kitchen chair she left out by the counter away. Her daughter was in the other room and totally ignored my sister.
My sis is one smart cookie and I really admire her quick thinking - she asked her daughter one more time to put the chair away - and of course was ignored. So sister whispers - Lulu do you want some candy? And her daughter came running into the kitchen, jumping around wanting candy. My sister looked at her and said Oh my did you hear me ask if you wanted candy - and Lulu was all excited and then sister says "If you heard me whisper about candy then you heard me ask you to put the chair away - now put the chair away and no candy for ignoring me.
No more selective hearing.
Just a little chuckle I thought I'd share. Does anyone else have some funny stories to share?
