    Re: Co-Worker Pet Peeves

    What about snapping gum?

Oh, speaking of kids running around. Of all people, my boss brought her grandkids to work with her two days in a row. They were watching TV in the conference room (right next to my office), it was blaring full blast, and of course, our walls are paper thin and I could here everything! They were running around, screaming, making a mess. I don't have children, but I can only imagine that if I did, I would not be allowed to bring them into work with me.

Try whistling too. Perhaps that little song from the Wizard of Oz.... "If I Only Had a Brain". It's a lovely inside joke.

Luckily I don't have the gum issue here.

        the kids though

Jerz, LOL, did you know that I get that song as an ear worm on average of 2-3 times a week! It comes on out of nowhere and I never can figure out what triggers it! It cracks John up!

Harrison Ford whistled it in a movie once and it drove me crazy until I figured it out.

Why? So you can be sure not to rent it? lol

I agree with everything y'all have said. How about.....co-workers who stand in clumps in the middle of the hallway talking and who see you coming with a stack of files in hand but don't even move over one frickin inch thus forcing you to do break-dance moves on top of the photocopier just to get around them.

Yes, I believe so. Well, I understand most offices hire people and people, as you know, can be obnoxious. Present company excluded of course. lol Don't get me started on the annoying things people do on the subway. Ay!!!!

I don't have any either BY CHOICE! And since this is a Bee-atch-fest, I never learned how to tune them out like the "breeders" (AKA parents) have learned. My goodness can't they hear them when they're SCREAMING?! I stay out of restaurants where kids eat free too. Ha ha ha!

Ditto to all of your complaints and eeewwww on the note left on the lunch...lol...nice.

Alright, I work from home with my darling adorable daughters and go to school fulltime. What do I have to complain about? Other then leaving paint smears, dirty socks hidden under the couch, Polly pocket stuff hidden in my treadmill, and something gooey on the table (maybe a flicked booger, I still don't know and no one's fessing up to that one) I've got it fairly easy. No vacation or sick time (even when I'm on vacation I still have to 'work'), on call 365/24/7

But as a college student....my number 1 pet peeve is this:

My "office" is the seat and table I have to sit, take notes, and participate in a class that I am paying for, so my pet peeve can be something compared to a company meeting:

People who constantly inturupt the teacher with stupid comments, I.Ming the entire time, chit chat about their previous night's affairs, and begging to borrow supplies from someone who showed up to class on time and doesn't have a hang over. There's the door, don't let it hit you on the fanny on your way out!!!!

OK, so it may not have been a secret, but that doesn't mean I expected to hear it repeated.
