Loggerhead and Leatherback sea turtles are hatched on the beach. Their brain is so small, they get confused by artificial light and often can't orient themselves to find the shore. Yet those which make it can survive at sea never coming ashore for over 30 years, and find within 1/4 mile the same beach they hatched on and dig a nest for their eggs.
