Re: How did you name your children?

We had two girls, so the first one was named somewhat after women in my family. Marissa Dawnne is basically for Marie,(grandmother) two S's together for my sister and I, and the D middle name is similar to my mother's middle name.

Girl number 2 is Kelsey Braelynne. Kelsey was basically picked from a highschool annual. Nothing I called out my DH liked other than Kelsey. (At the time it was a GIRL'S name - she doesn't like it now that Kelsey Grammar has turned it into a more popular boy's name!) By the time she was born I no longer wanted that name but DH was set on it. The "B" was for men in DH's family. Ben/Brian/Bernard and Robert(Bob?!) lol.

Re: How did you name your children?

Well, since DW wouldn't let me have a junior. I insisted that any boys at least get my name as a middle name.

#1 Boy We were planning on Aidan James, but unfortunately my father-in-law passed away while DW was pregnant so he ended up being Dominic James.

#2 Girl, my wife always wanted Elizabeth and that happens to be my grandmother's first name, although she goes by her middle name (Gertrude, go figure). And me grandmother's sister's name was Grace so, we named her Elizabeth Grace.

        #3 Boy, yep, Aidan James.

#4 Girl, Gabrielle Theresa, Theresa is my mother's name and my mother-in-law's middle name. The first name we just chose, because we liked it and ever since she's been born everyone asks if her name is Gabriella, which it is not, but my wife likes it, but too late now.

One more funny thing about names, for the first month of my life I was Eric7. I was adopted and the foster family who cared for me for that first month, had cared for six prior pre-adoption baby boys and they called them all Eric, and I was the seventh so Eric7. I believe they did the same for the girls but I don't know what name they used.

Re: How did you name your children?

My ex husband decided that if we had boys, he'd name them. I got a Zachary Isaiah, and a Quentin Xavier out of that deal. I have a dog named Allie McBeagle, and calico's named Gizmo ( huge ears), Boo, her face is like a Dali painting and she was so scared when we brought her home, and Sissy ( ran out of names, and they are sisters. We went to only get two, but I felt bad leaving the last one and took her too.
