It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!
I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!
went to cyprus in may...great place, great food, great people but verrrrry expensive especially with 3 kids in tow.It will be a while building the funds back up before we can go away again....and then theres xmas to eat away at anything saved
Just had five days in the Alps behind Torino, the culmination of which was a concert of my son's string quartet. Great time. Looking forward to a couple of weeks at our place in the Aeolian Islands (a spectacularly beautiful volcanic archipelago north of Sicily), after the season and when most of the tourists have gone... maybe end Spet, or early October.

Tomorrow at 5:30 am I'm leaving for a camp site nessled between San Luis Obispo Co. and Ventura Co. called Piedra Blanca. Deer season opened this week and the men are already there, women to follow ready for some fun. I have not been target shooting in a few months. Here are some photos.
This photo is on the drive up to the piedra
This is the creek that runs along the campsite, we get some very good trout in in the spring.
Photo of our last trip for Memorial Weekend in May. Lil Gil is learning to split some wood for the fire.
Lord, my dream is to lose this weight and to be healthier.

Not really a vacation, but I did take students to Peru. I brought my daughter, too. I plan to take them each year now. We travelled in Lima, Cusco (climbed Macchu Pichu), and canoed down the Amazon. Here is my album (with links and explanations):

Greece would be awesome. I'll hope happy thoughts for a cheap-good vacation

I did a report for Geography class a year ago last Spring on Peru and fell in love with the area and people in the country....it helped to have a Soccor Mom who's son played on the team with my DD11 and the family just transfered from Peru to our area; she shared some really awesome personal experiences. I'd love to go there someday.
I pretty much live a vacation year round living here in west central Florida. A 90 minute drive to Walt Disney World is certainly vacationing at home at its finest!
But this year, we went on a cruise from Tampa to Grand Cayman and Cozumel Mexico in May. That was fun because it was just DH and I, for the first time ever ... we have a 21 year old daughter who has always taken vacations with us until this year. We had a terrific time, particularly in Cozumel, where we took an off-road jeep adventure over to a private ferry boat that took us to Passion Island ... um.... we had an all you can eat truly MEXICAN buffet of fresh-caught mahi mahi, chicken, salads, guacamole (REAL DEAL!!) and chips, papaya, pineapple, etc.... OH and all the margaritas you could drink.... It is true: one tequila, two tequila, three tequila.......... FLOOR....
Next up is a week at our favorite amusement park on the planet: Cedarpoint, Sandusky, Ohio. All 3 of us are huge roller coaster fanatics and there's no better place to hang out! We plan to go over Labor Day.....Can't wait.
