If I took more time and felt more rational about it I might feel differently but right now I am pisssed off and think he is an asss ...period and I think people who drive impaired are unforgivable
I'm with you Heidi. As Mog says, there are laws and there are sentences/fines etc. that they CAN give out, but they rarely do. However, you and I probably agree that whatever the stiffest fine/sentence is, probably isn't long enough. Don't get me started on Mel. I used to really like him. Now I'm just disgusted.
I agree. I think he should be sent to Guantanamo Bay.
I'm kind of think Guantanamo Bay isn't the best place to send him. I mean, helloooooo isn't that adding fuel to the fire? Sending a man who makes anti-semitic remarks to a place where his cell mates are all muslim men???? Maybe community service at a Holocaust museum is a better idea.
And I am totally in agreement on the idea that celebities get away with murder

I was really shocked that the license suspension in CA was only 90 days..here it's 30 days onthe spot, which many have tried to fight as being 'guilty until proven innocent', which i think is silly cause if the blood test says your drunk..than your drunk. If convicted once you go to court it's 1 yr suspension first offence, 3 yrs for second offense within last 10 yrs, and 30 days jail time for 3rd offence and a 5 yr minimum suspension i think.
I'm so curious to see what happens to his career...I'm hoping it goes down hill but you never know...Hollywood is a strange place.
I'm sure there are thousand's of folks in California that get off with less of a sentence than he did, they were just fortunate that they are not "famous" and nobody in the public eye knows or cares to know. So when folks say he got off easy, what are you really comparing it to? I'm sure lots of them get off scott free with the right lawyer pleading their cases. I know it happens here, and not just for DUI charges.

the guy is a complete asss he obviously is a HUGE hypocrite and the laws are stupid ...but that is all mho
oh and his movie ..a **** of a lot more scary to me that that much racism could be slid through as Christian meaning....much more scary than some damnn snakes on a plane ...
ok I will let you continue with your logic now ...I have to find something else to do here!!!
Mel got the Kennedy Treatment. When Patrick Kennedy tried to run over a Capitol Policeman and smashed his car into a barracade near the US Capitol a few months ago, they covered it up and they drive him home. After the local news stations got a hold of the story (because some of the police complained to their union), we learned Patrick was under the influence of prescription drugs and alcohol (for a Kennedy the alcohol part isn't surprizing). Then he has a press conference, confessing he has a prescription medication dependency, goes to Rehab and that's that. Anyone else would have been fired from thier job or put on probation or demoted.
Celebs and politicians are treated differently than us regular people. That's the way it is, unfortunately.
