LOL, wow, I lost track of this thread. "OUI" is "Operating Under the Influence," which is the term for DUI in Maine, where I live. OUI also applies to other forms of vehicles or heavy machinery that would endager public welfare so we have one term that covers it all.

I just didn't realize, in my provincial way, that other state governments still call it "DUI." We switched to "OUI" 10 years ago or so.

doesn't sound like he got any special treatment to me.. but maybe Cali is alot tougher and he did get a break - here in GA he would have done one year of probation with a $500 fine and lost his liscense for 120 days basically - also he would do things like comm. serivce and such but three years is a long time of probation if this is his first DUI in a long time....

racial stuff isn't against the law - but he will pay for that in the court of public opinion as you all can see with the previous posts on the subject....
