  • Wedding rings falling off

Yep. It fell off last night while I was sitting there on the couch watching tv. Yes, I was spining it around on my figure and started playing with it and suddenly *FLING*. It goes flying up and down the side of the couch.

It's just a simple gold band that means the world to me because it reminds me of the tough times and the good times my hubby and I've been through. It's also a replacement of a 25 cent toy ring he got from the "gumball" machine that he used to propose to me. I still have that ring for sentiment.

Anyways. After a few minutes of heart racing panick and my hubby staring at me and shaking his head I found the skinny gold band that is now fitting more comfortable on my left thumb while my ring finger is now being adorned by my 13th anniversary band (aka: late 10 year anniversary diamond band).

    My point?

Mine's been falling off too Lisa. If I lose it I'm going to be in BIIIIIIIIIIG trouble. I keep meaning to go have it sized again.

Hehe!! I loved that story! When I was heavier, I couldn't wear my wedding rings and had to wear a looser gold ring my hubby got me for Christmas a few years back. I'm looking forward to when my wedding ring fits on comforably again...I'm thinking another 5 or 10 pounds down from now.

I almost had the anniversary band resized but decided against it because of the possibilities. Glad I didn't do it.

Isn't it nice that we can measure success by the size of our rings?

Yall mite wanna git a lil 1/2" piece of tubing and split it to put on every loose ring while you're still loosing! It'll act as a slip guard.

I love the bubble gum proposal ring - that's so cute!

Now, why didn't I think of that, Boonie? I detest putting string around it...bad memories of wearing highschool rings. lol. I wonder if it would rub annoyingly, though. Worth a try next time I'm in the Orange Box store to purchase something. But shhhh...don't tell my hubby. He'll call me a traitor.

We were poor as church mice when we met. $10 in his pocket was borrowed. Can't say I married him for his money. It gets better. He proposed in the laundry mat. A true Cinderella tale.

Thats one of my main reasons for slimming - to be able to take my rings off!! Since putting the weight on over the past 2 years I can now no-longer get my rings off!! I can tell mine are getting a little loser, but need a few more pounds yet until I can get them off!!

                      Re: Wedding rings falling off

I hear ya. I had the "option" of having mine saudered off or lose weight when I once weighed 235. Losing weight is so much cheaper.
