Re: I Am a Celebrity or Know of One on this Board...
I don't think I've ever met anyone famous...well maybe some sorta famous. I watched a live comedy show by Margaret Cho some years back. And...a congressman shook my hand in November, but that's because he wanted my vote.

The only celebrities I've met were:
Lynn Ganser - a TV anchor in New Orleans Alex Gifford - a TV anchor in New Orleans Alex Haley - author of "Roots" Morton Anderson - NO Saints Football Player Mackie Shilstone - Sports Performance Manager
I met Lynn Ganser and Morton Anderson while working at the "New Orleans" Magazine when we had an article on the top ten bachelors of New Orleans and had all nominees meet at a dinner party -- the judges were local celebrity women. I'm sure there were plenty more celebrities there at the time, they escape me at the moment.
Alex Gifford and Alex Haley had come in the office looking for some back issues of the magazine for a project they were working on.
Mackie Shilstone was one of the owners of the magazine and for a while I was his personal assistant and typed much of his first book. His wife, Sandy, worked there as Editor-in-Chief also.

I used to work at Channel 8 years back, so I met those TV anchors.
That is so cool!!
Alex Gifford came in whistling and I could hear him from my desk and I came out and said hello to him. He was so pleasant and had such a sunny disposition. I was impressed.

Lets see, if meeting a celebrity counts, I have met Gabe Caplan at Battle of the Network stars back in the early 80's along with Scott Baio (had a crush on him) and Pernel Roberts (I think that was his name from Bonanza) he was filming Trapper John MD. I met Lyndsey Wagoner while waiting for a plane at LAX. And the biggest thrill I ever had was walking into Gils house years ago and Charley Sheen was there. Gils father, Gilberto, had been his driver for the day and asked him to stop by the house to meet the wife and kids, and I got lumped into that group by accident just stopping by to say hello. Charley was nice, ate with us then left and reminded Gilbert for a pick up at 7 the next morning.
Lord, my dream is to lose this weight and to be healthier.

Glad Vince Marinello the radio talk show host wasn't one of the ones you met since he was arrested yesterday, charged with murdering his wife.
