so who else works weekends?

I am just curious? I feel so alone sometimes (big giant whine in my voice) .....Ok there are all these people here at work with me but still when I leave my house on Sat (my Monday) it is hard!!! I want to nest and do family stuff not go to work....

and I just wanted to know if any of you guys felt the same way? who out there is at work this weekend ...

I like having my weekends mid week but find it hard to just relax like I used to on Sundays...it seems I should be doing all the stuff I need to do because everyone else it!!!

since this schedule is only a couple of months old I am still in the adjustment phase

I work some weekends, depending on how my regular work week went. The advantage (Or disadvantage) of being self employed....

I work weekends. I'm a youth minister...weekends are in the business.

Heidi, I feel for you! My last job was Speech-Language Pathologist in a nursing home. There were many times I had to work weekends, without having a day off during the week becuase of the new Medicare regs. I still work weekends sometimes covering in nursing homes, but I'm normally off weekends.

It really stinks that your schedule has you working every weekend. But, there are advantages to having your weekend in the middle of the week. Businesses that are normally closed on weekends are open. Can make appointments without having to miss work. I know that probably still doesn't help with the fact you work weekends. Just trying to help you find the positive side to it.

I do get to be off when everyone else is working (that can be a good and a bad actually)

My days off are Friday and Sunday, and I swear all the fun stuff goes on on Saturdays, lol. I hate driving to work at 5pm on a frickin' Saturday.

that is what I am talking about let's get pissy just cause we can!!! Everything good is on the weekends ...everytime I get invited to something it is like "oh yeah you work on the weekends " ...and I can not stand that my shift starts at 9-10 am on the weekends myself half the morning is over for me by then!!!!

oh I know be glad I have a job I love and make good money doing it ..and yes I did take these hours they were not forced on me..but the implications of how much there is to whine about never occured to me until now while I sit here knowing fun stuff is going on outside!!!!

Don't get me wrong, I love my carreer, but I do not get to socialize with my friends that often. That's why I made the most of my summertime this year. I tried to do it all.

I used to work every other weekend in my old job. Now I run my own business, so I'm basically working every day lol.

I work a couple of shifts in a pub at weekends. I dont think of it as work though, I see it more as a social thing.

I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

My full time job is Monday - Friday 7:30 -3:30. It's wonderful! And I have another part time job that I work another 20 hours a week, and the beautiful part is that I can usually work whatever hours I want. If I want to go in the middle of the night, the evenings, whatever. I try to get those hours all in through the week too. It makes for some really long weekdays sometimes, but I like to try to keep my weekends open.
