How many dogs would you own if you could?

Wow! Someone is GIVING AWAY two Great Pyrenees puppies! They are so precious when they are babies!!

We have two dogs now, an indoor cat and a stray that is still hanging around even though we found his owners (I don't mind).

But, I would still like to have a doggie inside with me to be my little pal.

I have a friend who said that she'd have a whole yard full of dogs if she could. I don't know about that because it would be hard to pay attention to all of them.

I've always had 2 dogs, because I they kept each other company. I could never have just one dog again.

I think 3 would be tops so long as they all got along really well.

Ooooh, I love 'em so much. My dream would be a farm where all the strays/abandoned ones could live ... and in my dream they would all get along!!

In reality I have 1 cocker right now. We had 2 before and loved that. So I'm thinking 2 or 3 is ideal.

That why we got our new dog this year -- Kota. To keep our first dog company and be his little pal. They get along great!

Hey, we have a place around here that does that! It is called Jerry's Rescues and they take in dogs from the "kill" shelters and house them until they can find owners.

We rescued our second dog from a local "kill" shelter. Our first one is from our neighbors.

I am *not* a dog fan. Cats, however, I have absolutely NO LIMIT when it comes to them .. particularly Himalayans .. if I could afford it, I'd have a houseful of those sweetie pies! THIS LITTLE GUY IS THE LIGHT OF MY LIFE!

My parents used to have 4 dogs when I was growing up. 2 were rat terriers (still have), one a full yellow lab and HUGE! (still have) and at different times in the past 5 years there were 2 gorgeous but huge Lab/Pit Bull mixes (same mother from my sister). Those got way too big to get along with the other three who are all inside doggies...I would have to say 3 is the perfect number

My in-laws have 7 dogs right now. I love going over there. There are 2 that have to be separated because they are agressive with the little ones (wiener dogs) but they are all so cute in their own way! (those are the ones we were housesitting this week!...very tiring!!!)

Your baby is beautiful, Betty!! Is this a Himalayan? (I don't know much about cats other than what a Siamese looks like.) BTW, what is a torti?

Thanks....Yes he is a pedigreed Himalayan, the first we have ever owned...but DEFINITELY not the last! Oh my gosh, he is just the sweetest little thing. So affectionate, loving and gentle and smart! Can you tell I love him??

Wow! Seven dogs seem like a lot; especially if some of them are big! I'm still scared of dogs, but think they are so cute! If I went to someone's house and seven dogs came out to greet me, I think I'd faint! (Yes, I'm that scared of them.)

One dog is more than enough for me. Of course, my daughter wants another one, and as puppies they are adorable, but the costs of upkeeping their shots (just found out mine has heartworm for the 2nd time, this time she was taking meds all along), and kind of cramps your style with having to board animals when you go out of town (vacation and/or hurricanes). So have to say I am gonna stick with just One dog at a time.

Side Note- Betty that is definitely one of the most beautiful cats I have ever seen.
