  • UK to US sizes

    Hi all

As many of you know I am off to Florida next Sat.

I was wondering what dress sizes I should be going for. I am 14 UK top half and 16 UK bottom half.

    Thanks

P.S - and if anyone has any advice on where I should go/do then feel free! I've got 2 week ultimate passes for 7 Disney parks and a dolphin swim booked

            Re: UK to US sizes

I knew US sizing was smaller, because I was just reading a Daily Mail (UK) article regarding zero size girls in the US, and how the trend (read - people like Victoria Beckham) is making its appearance in the UK as well.

Word of advice.....Be sure to try the clothing!!!! Depending on the manufacturer, the type of material used and the cut, you might be able to fit anywhere from a size 8 to 12 for the top and 10-14 for the bottom.

                Hi

Make sure you buy something that has a big label with a size 10 on it, and then make sure it hangs out so everyone can see it when you wear it!! hehe!!

Have a great holiday and shop til you drop!!

                  Re: UK to US sizes

I'd say don't go by any conversions. Just go there and try on different sizes. I'm anywhere from a size 6-10 in jeans, even now.

When I was a size 14-16 UK though, I was in size 10-12 pants, so that's some guideline, but they vary so much.

                    Re: UK to US sizes

I could never find clothes to fit right on my American body in the UK...plus I hated the fact that I was a bigger size there. Definitely try on the clothes and have a blast on your holiday!!
