    Re: What.....

I really like it! Price depends on so much though.

    A) How much you want it
    B) Artist
    c) Size
    D) is it original?
    E) Framed?

Is it a known Artist or just something random from a show or something?

the artist isn't famous so that would be unknown - size is around 18x24 cm -
yes its an original - framing is an option
I added another painting from the same artist and am trying to decide which I want on my wall. lol

I like them both. I have no idea what I'd pay though either. Art always confounds me...the way they price things. Maybe a couple hundred USD? it's not very large....right? It's like 7" x 9"

            Re: What.....

I have bought a couple of paintings similar to this by an unknown artist. I think how much you pay really depends on how much you want it. As for which one, I wish I could see the room you are putting them in! If there were 3 of them, I'd say buy them all and line them up side by side on the wall. If they are 7"x9" that is kind of small. I would guess they would be worth $20 to $35 USD each. They are fairly simple, small paintings by an unknown. But, like I said, it really depends on what they're worth to you. I've always been happy about the paintings I bought. You'll love them!

I like them both but I know nothing about art
The first one reminds me of a maelstrom in the middle of the ocean where no one can see it excpet the ocean itself and it is proud of its creation.
The second one reminds me of my bath before I put bubbles in
Blue is my favorite color though, Hey! Did you make those for me??

I think they go together very well. When I look at them, they remind me of my life. I can connect with the first one as it feels like turmoil, it gets my heart racing. The second one is after the storm and the lines are flowing peacefull again. I'd put them both on your wall as a before/after.

As with life, they would continue to trade places on the wall depending on the ebb and flow of the sea of your life at that time? Could be cool.

I like the 2nd one the best. Its more relaxing. The 1st one is chaotic...not sure it would be something I would want to put on my walls (at least not on my bedroom walls).

There has to be something people "see" in art like this.

Like, the one on the left is male, the right one female.
And yes, I agree they would do well together in a chaotic bedroom!

                          Re: What.....

Hmm Honestly I think you could buy about three different shades of paint, some cheap canvasses from a dollar store (here they are 2 8x10's for a buck fifty) and make your own set of paintings for under $15.

They are nice paintings, don't get me wrong. The artist no doubt put some thought into it and they do evoke some feeling I suppose. I just see them as beginner level painting that really doesn't take a whole lot of skill or technique. They are simple lines and swirls that a person could bang off fairly quickly so I fail to see how they would demand a high price tag. Just MHO, whatever that's worth. Of course, if you absolutely love them and they make you happy then they're worth whatever you're willing to pay for them!

ROFL yeah Unc I thought of that briefly before I hit reply.

Well if that's the case then wow they're fantastic, I'd pay a small fortune for such talent ;P Disregard my previous comment I must be PMSing. haha

Note I did say that the artist put some thought into it and that they were nice paintings. I'm just so cheap I squeak most days so I gave my opinion to even things out around here. I'd pay for something I couldn't do myself. For something that I could, it's not worth the $$ unless I'm really not up to trying.
