This is a post from our Australian low carb board. I've put it here as the lady didn't use low carb to do it, but I still think she ia amazing. And she was a runner up - what did the winner lose, I wonder?
Zelma (according to the A Current Affair Website) was a runner up for Slimmer Of The Year in Slimming and Health magazine. She's lost 87kg and now weighs 76 kg.... thats more than half her body weight gone.
Her story came to my attention when I was reading the paper and there was a quote by her on the 'Quote of The Week' page, that she wasn't sure that she'd live long enough to lose the weight..... I googled her to find out what her story was.
Well she clearly *did* lose the weight, and even though she's not following a low-carb regime, deserves massive cred for doing what a lot of people would consider impossible. Well done!
