Good news - our xmas party has been changed!!!

Our boss has totally excelled this year!

Instead of the normal christmas meal lunch and then all day drinking, he's decided that we're all going to Amsterdam for the day!!

We fly really early in the morning and come back late at night, so we get a full day there - I can't wait!

What does everyone else do for their works Christmas parties??

This will be my first Christmas in my job, so I dont know what they do for the party. I wouldnt mind a trip to Amsterdam. But I can't really see that happening.

I've been in my current job 14 years, so it will make a nice change to do something different - I think our boss is getting a bit soft in his old age, he took us all to Dublin for the day in the summer as it was his 60th birthday!!!

I'm unemployed/self employed, so maybe I'll take myself to New York and appreciate myself with some retail therapy hahaha

My old job, we didnt have Christmas parties because it was too awkward to get everyone together since we were across the country. But they used to fly us abroad for the day or week. Was fun! But I walked out of there a few weeks ago haha

We always have a dinner dance. The music is usually pretty lousy and the food is usually carbs with a side of carbs and carbs for dessert. But they sometimes give away good prizes and the liquor's free so hey, why not?

I'm kidding. They do a pretentious dinner party, but I don't like the people I work with, so I never go.

Our christmas parties vary from year to year, but usually they're held at an establishment that serves libations (a bar, OK?) because we upright citizens love to party. A meal isn't involved, just maybe some hors d'eourves, and you pay for your own drinks. They do give out decent prizes/presents, though.

Man I would kill to go to Amsterdam for a day...I'd just be worried I wouldn't make it back for the flight...
