    Bodyworlds: Yay or Nay??

    I was planning to take the kids to Vancouver's Science World while we are there visiting, but just found out that the "Bodyworlds 3" display is on! YIKES!

    What is your take on BOdyworlds?

      I said yes, but only because i'm not totally against it. How old are your kids? I've been to it and it's pretty interesting, but I don't know how a small child would handle it.

        Hey!

        Actually my kids are 12 and 5. I can't really handle looking at the pictures, let alone even seeing it in person!
        Actually, even a wax museum freaks me out, and that isn't originally derived from real humans... its just wax material, but looks so real.

        I think though it would be interesting to see the prenatal development though, I know there is one with a woman who is 8 months pregnant?

        How did you work up the guts to see that exhibit? Must have been interesting I"m sure!

          I'm for it as long as the body's are obtained ethically (there were questions about this apparently).

          I saw it when it was here and i DEFINATELY recommend it to anyone! I actually wanted to go back, it was one of the most interesting exhibits I've ever seen.

          I took my 14 yr old stepdaughter and she loved it. I saw alot of kids of all ages there..I don't think the younger ones really comprehend that they're real bodies.

          The pregnant woman and babies are not in the regular display, it's a closed display that you have the option of going in. I saw it, and it didn't bother me nearly as much as I thought it would.

            Oh wow Sadie, interesting!

            I don't think I've got the guts to see it tho, but I"m sure the prenatal exhibit would be very fascinating!
