    I've had ber in the movie theater in the states......course I was carrying a big purse at the time

    one of my friends took a delivery pizza into the theater - big purses - I'm telling ya!

        Purses? I thought Americans called handbags "pocket books"... do please tell me I'm wrong, 'cos I never could understand how a bag turned into a book!!!

            Oh yeah, I had a friend who worked at a theater in college. After they closed, we'd roll kegs in there and then watch a movie while we partied, drank, and did some other activities...

              I've been to a movie theater in Florida that serves beer, even by the pitcher. They had tables and chairs instead of rows of seats. Admission was only $1 (all older movies).

                  Depends on where ya live... when I moved to Virginia, it cracked me up that they call purses pocketbooks. I grew up in the south and we called them hand bags.
