    Everyone's opinion Please

    Okay...this is not a diet related questions, but any response is appreciated. My husband is getting a male bengal kitten...he likes the name Jax...and I like Simba. So what do you like better JAX or SIMBA?

    s| Its so hard to name a pet!

    I like 'simba' (means lion in swahili I think) whereas 'jax' makes me think of a household cleaner!!

          I like Simba too!

          Please put a pic on of him when you get him!! I was in Harrods department store in London one time and a lady was ordering two of them for her children!!! I wouldn't like to think how much they cost in Harrods!!! hehe!!

            I'm moving this thread to chit chat as its not really diet related.

            But out of the two names you have mentioned, I think I prefer Simba.

            I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

              I'm not sure of either.
              Simba just seems so "copy cat" (Lion King comes to mind) - but perhaps that's where you were heading.

              I rather like Benjamin (Ben or Benji for short, even if it was the name of a dog in the past)

                  I think I read somewhere that animals respond better to 2 syllable names- something about the change in vocal tone when you say it.

                    Okay, I know this sounds nutty, but....

                    I think you should let the kitten pick his name. Call him the name and see how he reacts. I did that with my cat. The names he didn't like he just looked at me. When I finally got to a name he liked, he started to purr.

                        Thanks everyone. I think I am going to look at Exotic names because he is an exotic cat (well sort of) Benjamin seem like a dog name to me. I guess because of the movie Benji. My husband doesn' t like Simba, he says "Simbas a lion" I said no...Simba's a name! I'll keep everyone posted and keep the names coming! Thanks again!!
