  • Any Flying Wallendas... or other... out there?

I do my early morning exercise routine with the TV on. This morning, between crunches and push-ups, I was treated to a short documentary on the Flying Wallendas.

It got me wondering... has anyone any experience of this kind of thing? Or any other dangerous sport/activity? Do any of you get an adrenaline rush (or is it an endorphin rush?) from doing dangerous things?

Can't say I've ever done anything particularly risky... My only slightly daring thing was doing an "under ice" scuba dive, in order to qualify for teaching. No endorphin rush for me. Far too cold!!!

Any bungee (sp?) jumpers or parachutists out there?

I almost went parachuting once, I was going to do a tandem jump with an instructor from 10,000 feet. I wouldn't do one on my own as i had a friend do it and she actually blacked out when she first jumped. though she was ok because she came around in time.. Considering how scared i am of heights i'm sure i'd faint too..so i ifigured I should have someone with me.

anyway..didn't end up doing it, the week we were about to book the jump, and experienced jumper died at that parachuting school. his chute tangled..that was enough of a warning for me
