Re: A man in a kilt

I live in Texas and my DH & I have a country band. We played a casual outdoor gig in public one time this summer. I looked up and there was a man out there dancing, wearing a kilt. I certainly did a double-take, but you know, he looked pretty good in it! LOL! I know that there are a lot of Scottish clan activities around here and I figured he was a part of that group. I say, if he's comfortable enough with his manhood to wear a skirt in public, good for him!

Well I'm from a Scottish clan but have never worn the kilt to which I am entitled, but yes, comfortable manhood is what its all about.

That certainly explains why I never liked wearing my kilts growing up, LOL (part McCubbins, here).

Re: A man in a kilt

My office co-worker got married in his kilt, and then later on he ordered a utili-kilt (the real thing). He wore his real kilt one day at work - he looked great. The other he bought after I left, but he told me about it - we still keep in touch.

Nothing wrong with it - the carpenter's utili-kilt has snaps, so that you can keep it together when you climb ladders.

It is said that in the Highland (Kilt wearing) units the Sergeant Major has a mirror on a stick to check the men are correctly (un)dressed.

I have never been able to confirm that story in 30 years service.
