So, have you started or finished Christmas/Holiday shopping yet?

I started but I think it'll be the night before until I finish. Yep, another last-minute shopper here .

Started? HA! That's a good one. Haven't started and won't start for another couple weeks. I am one of those people who LOATHES Christmas shopping. I put it off for as long as I possibly can.

I hear ya, Chasin'. Because I'm so not in the mood for Christmas with the stresses of finals in school, I have to actually force myself to put on a plastic smile and probably buy ear plugs to walk in the store in order to avoid listening to Christmas music for my girls. lol..oh, I'm beginning to sound like Scroodge. lol. oye!

My boyfriend and I are making a weekend of it, starting today...we're driving to the "big city" and spending the night, having a nice dinner, and doing the bulk of our Christmas shopping tomorrow--have to do it early, because we have to send it 2000 miles back home!

Last minute shopper here also, I find I buy a blouse for someone, next time I go its at a better price or I see something I like better. Wait til the last minute you can get it, wrap it and be done. Plus I just never know what to get for my kids, I miss the days when they were little and anything thrilled them.

Gosh it looks like we're all last minute shoppers - I wait until the week before and just go out and get it all in one hit!!!

I'm a bit of a cheat though - I give all the children gift vouchers for dvds or cds!!! its soo much easier!!!

My mum has retired from work this year so is "mrs organsied" this year!! she has all her presents bought and wrapped!! plus all her cards are in envelopes awaiting to be posted out!!! she puts me to shame!!!

Well if ordering Field and Stream for Gilbert, Teen People for Lizzette and Teen Sports Illustrated for lil Gil, then yes, I have.

Last year at this time I had purchased most gifts on line on Black Friday and also received the good discount with it. This year I'm broke so I'm struggling on what to buy.

I usually purchase theme presents for my closest friends. I'm thinking of a champagne flute with a little charm for the flute, so they can toast on New Years Eve.

What do you think?

I'm probably 80% finished now. This is the earliest I've been so organized in a LONG time. My brother and sister-in-law are left and I'm stumped on both of them.

I did some of mine online too this year and got some great deals. One nephew wanted an Aeropostle hoodie and I got it at their website for less than half and even got a free ball cap with it.

Okay, so I hit Walmart for a second last night. I was on a mission to get a replacement cord for my lap top, and since they didn't have any more (grrrr), I shopped for Christmas. I'm not a crowd type person, so for me to hit Walmart on the 2nd of the month was just dangerous. lol.

While I was standing amongst the toys, I suddenly realized that I wasn't going to buy gifts for the nieces and nephews this year. However, my heart just tugged on getting little somethings. So, a Memory card game for 1 nephew because he's 2 and it works for his smart little brain, and then I'll get McD's gift certificates for the other 3. Woo hooo! I think I'm almost done! Yee haw!!

Well, okay, so almost done. I still need to find gifts for my parents and DH's dad who lives in Alabama. Hmmmm....got some thinking to do. It should be easy, because after all we have all year long, right? lol.

My problem with Christmas shopping is that I keep finding things I want for myself. I've already got a list of things I've found that I want to get for myself when Christmas is over. Here I am a grown woman and I called my brother last night while they were out shopping and said "hey, you left without getting my Christmas list... the stuff *I* want for Christmas!". He laughed and said he would get it today. Bet I don't get everything on it though. *grumbles* LOL!

LOL...Winter, you're funny.

DH and I just had a nice little discussion on what we each wanted for Christmas. We've narrowed it down to making coupons and saying, "Here, go buy what you want." lol..I'm sure we'll come up with some kind of sentiment. Maybe. I wonder if buying a sleeping bag built for a 6 foot tall man would be considered sentiment? LOL..
