  • what has everyone asked Santa for this year?

I couldn't decide what I wanted this year, so I've asked DH to surprise me!!!!

What about everyone else - do you get to choose or does your partner/parents surprise you??

I would really like an Ipod, but that's out of the question - unless you can find one for $50, which is what I think DH and I will be spending on each other this year. I'd also like a treadmill. Big n-o there, unless Mom feels generous and gives up hers which is gathering dust at her house. I'm not quite sure what we're really doing as far as gift lists and everything until we sit down and figure out the $$ issue.

Re: what has everyone asked Santa for this year?

Hmm..I want a good pedometer and a good heart rate monitor, but really don't know too much about them...I'd rather do research than make my boyfriend do an impulse Christmas purchase...

My bf promised me a shopping spree...and he claims he's willing to put down $500...I told him I want to waive the spree until I get closer to my goal, which he figured I'd want to do...but he's going to start saving for it now so this spring or early summer he's taking me on a huge shopping trip, possibly to Seattle or Portland. I think that's the best present I could ask for!

Sure! Heh heh I don't know if I'm going to let him spend that much, because well...we've got bills to pay, ya know. I think I'll let him spend at least $200 on me though...he IS a great guy, very supportive and loving. And he even tries these crazy new foods with me...he had jicama last night and loves it! So maybe I can just have him take me vegetable shopping...

We have the Secret Santa thing happening in our families, so wouldn't have any idea what will turn up. Each family member has a name of the person they buy a present for, up to $50
We always buy presents for the all the kids though.
DH & I have a dinner out together as our present.

                      I've asked for.....

                      New GHD straighteners
A ring (not a wedding one tho!)
Some chocolates from this chocolate shop in town
                      Some PJ's
                      Electronic glass bathroom scales
                      Kitchen scales that measure carbs

Whether I get it or not is a different matter! Our limit on each other is £150 this year.

Juli - thats a great incentive to get to goal! I'm going for a shopping spree in London when I reach goal! U gona join me Jane?

Re: what has everyone asked Santa for this year?

I want the romatic side of Julie's boyfriend! Talk about hitting a homerun in the love/romatic/and ain't that sweet department! lol.

Having a warm winter would be nice, but not so great when summer came and we were out of water because of the lack of snow on the mountains. So, I asked for a heart monitor watch thingy, like what JimmieJo said, along with an MP3 player (it's cheaper than an iPod).

Other than that I'm content with seeing my girls eyes light up on Christmas morning when they see their favorite box of cereal under the tree that we never buy during the year.

Re: what has everyone asked Santa for this year?

I decided that this is the year I need to finally break down and get some soft contact lenses. Because I have astigmatism as well as near-sightedness, I needed to buy Toric lenses. Well, not only did I get them last week, but I've been fitted with only one lens. I can see far AND near now without any glasses! If I only correct my near-sightedness, I'd need reading glasses. I think this is SO cool! Santa's good to me!

Another present I decided to get for myself was to get my wedding rings re-sized. I've been waiting to lose enough weight to be able to wear them again, but I think I hold the record for the longest stall. I just decided that I deserve to wear my pretty rings NOW. I'm picking them up tomorrow. I can't wait!

Dear Santa, just take a walk through my house and jot down everything that's broken, torn, worn out, or obsolete on your list. Then add the words maid service, money, a good looking date, and a good sitter.

For my DS, bring only clothes he likes in 1 size larger than he is, plus a letter explaining in detail how a boy his age gets on your "good kid" list. Do not bring anything that takes up half a room to assemble or play with, nor anything with 100 small parts to lose. Gift cards work great, as they can be confiscated for noncompliant behavior.

In exchange, I promise to continue my efforts to improve myself until next Christmas!
