  • a christmas recipe!!!

    This recipe was in a Christmas card we received in work!!


    Christmas Fruitcake Recipe

    500g sultanas, 250g raisins, 200g halved cherries, 100g dried figs,
    100 g dried prunes, 100g mixed peel, 100g dried apricots roughly chopped,
    1 small orange grated zest & juice, 250g salted butter, 200g muscavado sugar,
    5 medium eggs, 200g plain flour, 200g macadamia nuts roughly chopped,
    1 FULL bottle of your favourite brandy!!



    Instructions

    Sample the brandy to check for taste

    Take out a large baking bowl

    Check the brandy again to be sure that it is of the highest quality

    Pour 1 level cup and drink, Repeat

    Put the sultanas, raisins, cherries, pigs and frunes to soak overnight

    Beat 1 cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl

    Add 1 tsp sugar and beat again

    Check the brandy is still ok

    Crack the eggs into the bowl, chucking in the flour for a cuddle

    Check the brandy for alcoholisticity

    Pass your nuts through the sieve and swoon into the prepared tin

    Sniff the butter and roughly chop the salt

    Add one teaspoon of something or other

    When the cook is caked churn it into the bin

    Finish the brandy & turn off the cat

    Serve grilled!!
