    My Netflix Queue is Empty HELLLLPPP!!!

    The weather is awful .....work is killing me and I my Netflix queue is empty ...whiney woman that I am ....

    any good movies I should see????

    I love anything that makes you happy or horny (no porn K) I love movies with lots of twists and turns as well like Momentos or Mulholland Drive ..bring on drama, documentaries, cult flicks, comedy, strange (not gross)....foreign films are great!!! (I like them better with subtitles than dubbed however ... )

    any good series on the pay channels I have missed? even travel documentaries ...whatever....

    no war, blood or gore I dont sleep much as it is ..and please nothing too chickflicky or I will gag...

    ok are those too many stipulations?


    thanks so much in advance you guys always have the best ideas for this!!!

    I love to snuggle in and watch lots of movies this time of year ...

    Oh yeah and I love food movies I pretty much think I have seen most of them but if you know any please list them because if there is one food movie I have missed I want to get it and see it right away...

    The Big Night is one of my favorites!!!

        My boyfriend and I rented Little Miss Sunshine last night, and it was friggin hilarious! It's a definite MUST-RENT!

          Hmmm, as far as other random movies go, here are some good ones to rent. These are some of my favorites:

          Breakfast on Pluto (I am in love with Cillian Murphy!!)
          Shaun of the Dead
          Oldboy
          Kinsey
          Bubble
          Devil's Playground
          American Movie
          Thumbsucker
          Brick
          The Door in the Floor
          The Big Lebowski


          And for some reason I can't think of any more really striking movies...I love really off-the-wall stuff and my bf and I tend to avoid POPULAR movies--i.e. the ones everybody and their uncle goes to see at the theatre.

            Dangit Julie stole my pick of Little Miss Sunshine. I'd also recommend that you check out the movie Christopher Nolan did just prior "Memento. It's called "Following" and is really quite good. I might even go so far as to call it a low budget masterpiece.

              heh. ironic. i just had to add movies to my queue 'cause it was down to like, 10... uhhmmm, oh, I just saw Grandma's boy (really geeky funny) and these are what my friend recommended to me:

                Hey is the Ice Harvest any good? Part of me says YES it probably will be, since a Focus Features movie...and part of me says NO because the last movie I saw with Billy Bob Thornton and John Cusack (Pushing Tin) SUCKED.

                    Did you know that Queue is the only word in the English language that sounds the same after you remove the last four letters?

                        The only Christopher Nolan film I've seen is Batman Begins. It's a refreshing change from the usual superhero flicks.

                          I've liked all of his movies so far, Memento and Following are just amazing, must have DVDs IMO. Insomnia was good and I liked Batman Begins a lot. I was a little disapointed with The Prestige, probably his only movie that I'd hesitate to tell people to go to a theater to see (though it's decent enough for a rental).

                          He is one of the few directors who's movies I will go see just because they are his.

                              OMG I love you guys thank you so much!!!!! I am going to add the Christopher Nolan films for sure and your lists look great you guys are awesome ...Little Miss Sunshine is in the queue and yes the word queue is strange!!!

                              Netflix drives me nuts it baits you off in all directions directions and I have a hard enough time focusing as it is ...so I end up renting the strangest crap!!!
