Thanks you guys!!! maybe I should start a journal and show you the shower??? I had a 70 square foot space to build a bathroom the plumbing was there and so was this HUGE strange concrete "what the helll is this thing" tank ....so my husband got a jackhammer and hammered out the huge mess ...and he built me a wall where the plumbing fixtures go ....the rest was up to me ...so I yes Q put in a bench for sure also put a grotto for the soap and stuff tiled the bench ...floor and grotto aread with these really pretty stone tiles that have micah in them then the walls are a coral like travertine.....I am going to use glass block (if I can find it the kind I want) as the entry way ..

I will post pics of the before and during for sure thanks for the interest I am taking a break today however and going to see waterfalls...with all this wet weather they should be beautiful!!!

OOOXXXX I can not deal with Howard Stern btw ....

oh the bathroom floor is going to be heated stone and the sink...my husband is going to make out of plank maple with a stainless steel sink sunk into it ..I saw what I wanted in last months Sunset Mag and he agreed to make it for me ...I just need some color now to balance the whole thing in my mind...want to see the last bathrooms I built from scratch? I am happy to post pics of my handy work ?

ps the shower is 6ft by 4ft I am very excited about this project coming together!!! I will have done 3 complete bathrooms (well my husband does the framework and I do the sheet rock tile and fixtures ..) when this one is done and there is one more so the grand total will be four ...3 with showers and one full with a huge clawfoot tub and a walk in shower....from the subfloor up ...stripped completely ..starting only with the plumbing as the guidlines.... made to the way I want ...

Wow Q!!!! you say such awesome things!!! there is no more snow or that would merit another angel!!!

ok so I will show off the work in a photo essay hijacking my own thread! ..I am going to take one of the tile work I have done so far but this is up to the skeleton you can see what a mess there was to start with ..I would not go in the room until the toilet was removed I grew up in the city and really thought a rat would come out of there!!!!






JuJube is a bit concerned with the construction process the fixtures will shoot the water from the right side of the picture and the glass block will start from the left side and go to the right ..all this is in my head and the plans evolve as it progresses ...

I have no idea what it was and was offering a prize to anyone who guessed when I moved in! it was too small to be a hot tub .(I am short and could not have fit in it sitting down comfortably ...it was to tall to be a shower ...we guessed a lot of things and never really knew ...trout pond maybe?
