I can give it a go. Lemme think about the logistics over the weekend. For now, you can think about ways of cutting out trivial purchases that add up, i.e. "the latte factor." Don't know if you've ever heard of that term or not. Buy a latte out every day at StarChunks at $4.00 or whatever, will add up big time by the end of the year. It gives you the idea of how a small purchase over time can eat into your savings plan.

Oh yeah...I know about the latte factor. I'm trying to think of the guys with the radio show that coined that phrase. The financial guys. I think their on AM radio. They have books too. I'm drawing a total blank.

Is there anyway to place yourself on a - budget. I take home 2000.00 and my mortgage just went from 1137.00 to 1400.00 with added insurance increase. Leaves me 600 a month for bills and they run 800. Oh Lordy, and guess what I want to do ? Yes, go out and spend money. At least eggs are free from my neighbor, he gives me 2 doz a week from his hens in the backyard. I'm going to be eating loads of scrambled eggs.

Oh Patty. Are you in a position where you could rent out a room of your house to a tenant? I have no idea what you could do otherwise. Except maybe pray that someone will give you a winning lotto ticket.

When I was looking at Oprah's website last night, the person who's name I can't remember that was helping people get their finances in order basically said sometimes you have to downsize your home, or sell a vehicle to get your finances in order. I hope you can work things out. What about a part time job on the weekends? I dunno. I'll shut up now. I bet Bio has better advice anyway.

I'd have to see exactly what her expenses are & where the money goes. A room mate would definately help out with the morgage & part of the utilities. Finding a suitable one is another challenge though.

I have sold things before. I do need my car for transportation in Los Angeles. But I have a 69 Fender Coronado Wildwood III. Original. Somehow things work out, I called my loan agent (who has now left Wells Fargo) and said, "Help, what did you get me into?" She's trying to get me into a Fanny May loan situation which would give me a much lower monthly payment. But it takes awhile and then I have a refi commission for her if I get it.

Here's irony. A parishioner gave me a Mitsubishi (sp?) 52 inch tv on Wed. Its practically new, but they had 3 and her husband wanted the more hi-tech black ones. This one has a wooden cabinet. Here's the irony, I'm going to pay my Direct TV and then cancel it. LOL That will be 55 more. This year I think I'm going to get a tax return, usually I have to pay 1000.oo fed.

Sometimes I say, "why me?" Other times, I know why, because I don't budget well and I get myself into these situations.
