  • Phew! 4 hours later...

...and I finally took my CBEST (California Basic Education Skills Test) exam today.

The CBEST test is required for the Oregon university that I'm attending and in process of applying to the teacher preparation program.

Holy sharpened pencils! What an experience!

I've been a bit scattered and slightly absent from the board, well, popping in here and there when I can, because I've been busy with my classes, case studies, and preparing for this "wonderful" test.

Well, I'm now down to finishing up 1 class within the next week (4 weeks early!), 1/2 done with two case studies, completing my time working on a play with the college, and finally get started on another class that I'm doing independent study on. Oh, yeah, and one of my case studies got selected for a wonderful opprotunity to be presented at a spring fair for the University. Okay, so I thought I was almost done!

    My brain is fried.
    My eyes hurt.
    My butt is numb.
and I get to wait (in agony) until Feb 26th and March 5th for the final grades.

Until then, I'll be praying like Sister Mary Moo Cow in hopes that I pass the darned test with an average score of 123 or higher on all 3 sections. (oh, please, oh, please...let me pass!!)

Hope you're having a great day!

            Wow Lisa,

Congrats on getting through the test and getting your project honors, whoohoo, that's great!

But having to wait that long for the results, argghh...that's a killer.

So how do you feel you did?

              Re: Phew! 4 hours later...

Thanks, Bren & Laurenfra!---Amaze is not one word that I would describe anything about me (LOL); although I find it Amazing that I haven't strangled anyone in the past 3-4 years I have been at this college thing. LOL.

Thanks, Sheshy!---Out of the 3 sections, I'd say I passed the math test with no problems, and barely squeeked by the reading section. I wouldn't be surprised that I'd have to redo the writing section. The writing section is the toughest challenge for most people in general; for me, it's just about torture because I have to write, rewrite, process, repeat when I'm called to write an essay on command. Anyways....I'll just sit and wait (impatiently, of course). LOL..
